AI expands the field; judgment remains human
AI is most useful to HYRAX as an accelerator of inquiry: comparing more evidence, testing more relationships and synthesising faster. It does not replace the act of design judgment.
Working note
AI is most useful when it expands the field of inquiry.
It can compare more references, expose patterns across larger bodies of information, test alternatives quickly and help connect evidence that would otherwise remain separated by time or disciplinary boundaries.
That is valuable. But acceleration is not judgment.
Design decisions still require context, consequence, ethics, taste, experience and the ability to decide what should matter when several answers are simultaneously possible.
HYRAX therefore treats AI as part of a wider spatial intelligence process rather than as a substitute for authorship. It can help us read the field more widely and test it more rigorously. It can challenge assumptions. It can speed up synthesis.
But the final act remains human: deciding what to protect, what to change, what to omit and what kind of experience is worth creating.
AI expands the question. Design judgment owns the answer.
